AFS Kenya is pleased to share the AFS Effect+ for the Classroom Program, a fully funded global virtual opportunity for secondary school teachers who are passionate about global citizenship education. This scholarship-based program equips educators with practical tools, interactive learning experiences, and access to an international network of teachers from around the world.

Participants engage in a 6-week virtual learning journey, gain access to quality teaching resources, and become part of a supportive global community. Teachers also have the opportunity to guide students in meaningful classroom initiatives while gaining international recognition.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in English

  • Show an interest in global citizenship education and be available to commit 2–3 hours per week for the six-week program

  • Have access to reliable, consistent internet and a suitable device for participating in online dialogue sessions
